MRO Asia-Pacific 2017

MRO Asia-Pacific was held at the Singapore Expo Convention and Exhibition Centre from 31 October–2 November 2017. MRO Asia-Pacific is a targeted civil aerospace event that brings together the aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) industry — regionally and globally — to discuss the latest issues and concerns of operators and their service providers and suppliers. It also provides opportunities to connect with the entire aerospace industry.

The Queensland Government, through Defence Industries Queensland, exhibited at the event along with 10 leading Queensland aerospace companies. These companies were:

  • AIR360 offers independent aviation services and technical support to all sectors of the industry. The company supports rotary and fixed wing flight in both civil and defence categories, with customers in special mission, RPT, charter and general aviation. The company’s broad range of CASA-approved manufacturing capabilities allows them to provide replacement parts, carpets, curtains and seat covers to a growing customer base. AIR360 is also the Asia-Pacific contact for Flightdocs.

  • Aviation Australia is a world class, Queensland Government-owned EASA, GCAA and CASA Part 147 approved maintenance training organisation, offering Part 66 category/sub-category licence training, aircraft type training, and a host of Part 145, Part 147 and Part M/42 consultancy services.

  • Aviation Labour Group (ALG) draws on global talent to deliver temporary and permanent recruitment solutions to the global aviation industry. ALG achieves strong results in the defence and civilian aviation sectors by focusing on compliance, consultation, responsiveness and accuracy. The company’s expert consultants are aviation professionals who tailor services for each project to ensure productivity, profitability and flexibility. ALG’s global recruitment services are delivered from the company’s offices in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the Philippines.

  • Electronic and Mechanical (EM) Calibrations offers service, sales, repair and calibration of tools, instruments and measurement systems. The company provides fast turnaround service at competitive prices, specialising in aviation maintenance support in areas such as force, pressure, torque, temperature, vibration and metrology equipment. All calibrations are carried out in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards.

  • Flying Colours Aviation (FCA) is a leading aircraft repainting provider in the Australasia region, servicing the repaint and corrosion control requirements of civil and defence aircraft and operators. With the capability to strip and repaint aircraft up to Boeing 757-200 over the company’s two facilities, FCA has a proven track record, providing a full suite of high quality services that ensures all aircraft are repainted to meet or exceed customer expectations.

  • Permagard Aviation is a market leader in aircraft presentation, asset protection, cleanliness and hygiene. Operating since 2003, Permagard services every major airline in Australia, applying Reactive Polymer coatings for paint rejuvenation and protection, Antimicrobial Shield and mould control, residual disinsection and infestation control, engine compressor wash using Lufthansa Technik’s advanced engine wash system Cyclean®, cabin management software, wet and dry exterior wash, cabin and flight deck deep cleans, carpet shampoo and leather rejuvenation and protection.

  • Precision Aviation Group (PAG) is a leading provider of products and value-added services to the aerospace and defence industry worldwide. With 11 locations and extensive sales and service facilities, PAG uses its distinct business units and customer-focused business model to serve aviation customers through two business functions, i.e. aviation supply chain, and the company’s trademarked inventory supported maintenance, repair and overhaul (ISMRO®) services. PAG subsidiaries have MRO capabilities for more than 35,000 products, including accessories, avionics, engine components, hydraulics, instruments, NDT, starter/generators, and wheels/brakes.

  • Pacific Turbine Brisbane has Part 145 P&W PT6A and Honeywell TPE331 workshops for turbine modification, repair and overhaul. The company offers turbine engine solutions including engine management programs, engine exchange and outright sales; rental and leasing; and in-field repairs. Extensive parts stock (LRU’s, accessories, parts and hardware) are held at the Brisbane facility and supported by a highly experienced team of engineers and sales and technical representatives. The company also offers Part 145, FAA and EASA release certifications for engines and parts.

  • Qantas' engineering and maintenance experience dates back to when the airline first commenced operations in 1920. Since then, the company has gained nearly as many years’ experience in contract work. With the experience gained in maintaining Qantas’ own fleet of more than 200 aircraft, the company can respond to customer airline requirements with flexibility and an understanding of operators’ concerns and constraints.

  • Sikorsky Helitech is a major rotary wing logistics, maintenance and repair facility located in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The company provides aftermarket support services to commercial and military operators of Sikorsky and Bell helicopters. The offered support services include—but are not limited to—supply of spare parts; engineering services; provision of maintenance, repair and overhaul; modification and refurbishment services of aircraft; components and accessories.
