MRO Asia-Pacific 2019

MRO Asia-Pacific 2019 was held at the Singapore Expo Convention and Exhibition Centre from 24-26 September 2019. MRO Asia-Pacific is a targeted civil aerospace event that brings together the aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) industry—locally and globally—to discuss the latest issues and concerns of operators and their service providers and suppliers, and to provide opportunities to connect with the entire aerospace industry.

The Queensland Government, through Defence Jobs Queensland, exhibited at the event along with 11 leading Queensland aerospace companies:

  • Aviation Australia is a world class, Queensland Government-owned EASA, GCAA and CASA Part 147 approved maintenance training organisation, offering Part 66 category/sub-category licence training, aircraft type training, and a host of Part 145, Part 147 and Part M/42 consultancy services for both civilian and military organisations.

  • Cairns Airport—in Far North Queensland—is one of Australia’s leading regional airports, providing air links to a range of domestic and international destinations. With more than five million passengers passing through it each year, Cairns Airport is the gateway to the World Heritage Great Barrier Reef and Tropical Rainforests of North Queensland.

    Cairns Airport’s thriving General Aviation Precinct is a major economic driver of the local economy, with more than 200 businesses operating within the precinct and employing in excess of 3,500 skilled employees. The precinct is home to a range of businesses and industries, including freight consolidation, rescue firefighting services, avionics, government agencies, maintenance, charter and scenic fights, engineering, education and training, aircraft cleaning and detailing.

  • Flying Colours Aviation (FCA) is a leading aircraft repainting provider in the Australasia region, servicing the repaint and corrosion control requirements of civil and defence aircraft and operators. With the capability to strip and repaint aircraft up to Boeing 757-200 over the company’s two facilities, FCA has a proven track record, providing a full suite of high quality, innovative and environmentally sustainable services that ensures all aircraft are repainted to meet or exceed customer expectations.

  • Hawker Pacific-a Jet Aviation Company-has been delivering a diverse range of integrated aviation solutions for more than 40 years. These include aircraft sales; aircraft support and management; and aircraft supplies across Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, The Middle East, plus many more locations throughout Asia and the Pacific. The company has a successful track record of delivery, specialising in working closely with customers to clearly understand their requirements and offer solutions to best fit budgetary, schedule and capability needs.

  • Heston MRO is one of the largest independent MRO organisations in Australasia and has been delivering customer-driven MRO services for more than 25 years. The company understands the changing needs of local and international airlines and is ready to open new line stations on demand and offer superior line maintenance, materials and support solutions. Heston MRO builds and customises products around their customers’ operational needs, with speed and flexibility and the utmost focus on safety and quality.   • Masters & Young Pty Ltd is Brisbane’s home of design and innovation in Australia’s custom electronics industry. Over the past 22 years, a passion for efficient, functional and intuitive design has forged international partnerships in the medical, defence, commercial, industrial and education sectors. Support of university graduates has allowed the company’s involvement in some prestigious research projects, such as the Hyshot (hypersonic flight) Project and the University of Queensland (UQ).   • Pacific Air Express is an airline based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and operating domestically to and from the South Pacific and Asia regions. The company provides cargo solutions to meet market needs, including supplying specialised services within urgent time frames, domestic and international charter flights, and international and complex logistic freight management. Its main bases are Brisbane and Honiara International Airports.

  • Pacific Turbine Brisbane has Part 145 MRO, P&W PT6A and Honeywell TPE331 workshops for turbine modification, repair and overhaul. The company offers turbine engine solutions including engine management programs, engine exchange and outright sales; rental and leasing; and in-field repairs. Extensive parts stock (LRU’s, accessories, parts and hardware) are held at the Brisbane facility and supported by a highly experienced team of engineers and sales and technical representatives. The company also offers Part 145, FAA and EASA release certifications for engines and parts, and has recently installed a brand new PT6A test cell.

  • Qantas Engineering and maintenance experience dates back to when the airline first commenced operations in 1920. Since then, the company has gained nearly as many years’ experience in contract work. With the experience gained in maintaining Qantas’ own fleet of more than 200 aircraft, the company can respond to customer airline requirements with flexibility and an understanding of operators’ concerns and constraints.
