In 2024-25 the Queensland Government will deliver a $1.8 billion capital works program in the Far North Queensland (FNQ) region, providing essential infrastructure to meet the increasing service needs of residents and directly support an estimated 4,900 jobs. A comprehensive suite of programs that will create jobs now and for the future, drive productivity improvements, and harness innovation.
Advancing Small Business Grants
These grants can develop your business through activities such as expansion, commercialisation, research and development, innovation and exporting. This economic support is backed up by:

- subsidised products, such as business planning tools.
Back to Work program
Support payments of up to $20,000 are available for eligible employers who hire eligible unemployed jobseekers.

A Queensland-based organisation that implements both private and government-led programs to create new opportunities in collaboration with the industry. QMI works with industry to upskill and attract staff, create ideas, opportunities and jobs. This assists manufacturers to access and explore new local and global markets.

DSDILGP’s industry workshops can assist businesses within regional supply chains to be more competitive in positioning for work opportunities. Topics include:
